iQOO 12's India launch date announced as December 12

iQOO will unveil the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro on November 7 in China, and on December 12, the vanilla model will "make its grand debut" in India. The iQOO 12 will be sold through Amazon.in, but it should also be available through iQOO's official Indian website.

iQOO hasn't mentioned the iQOO 12 Pro in its promo campaign and the press note we received, meaning the Pro variant won't launch alongside the vanilla model in India next month, or it will be skipped altogether. The latter is more likely since the iQOO 11 Pro didn't come to India.

iQOO hasn't detailed the iQOO 12 lineup's specs sheet but confirmed the series will be powered by the freshly announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. iQOO's Indian branch previously said the iQOO 12 would be the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered smartphone in India. Whether or not that happens remains to be seen since the Xiaomi 14, having the same chip at the helm, just got certified by the Bureau Of Indian Standards (BIS).
