The Infinix Note 40 Pro+ can mostly be found in some East Asian countries, Africa and the Middle East. Its price is usually under $300/€300, which puts it against the Samsung Galaxy A55, Xiaomi Poco X6 Pro, Nothing Phone (2a) and the newly released Motorola Edge 50 Fusion. The latter tends to be a bit more expensive, though.
Having a handful of easily recognizable competitors while being the underdog is no easy task. And in some cases, the Note 40 Pro+ stands out with some unique offerings. For instance, the 6.78-inch screen is easily one of the biggest in the segment, while the fast charging solution is unrivaled. Wireless charging is also a thing that none of the phones mentioned above offers.
Samsung Galaxy A55 • Xiaomi Poco X6 Pro • Motorola Edge 50 Fusion • Nothing Phone (2a)
However, the device fails to overtake the competition in some key aspects. For instance, the Galaxy A55 is a better pick if you are looking for a more competent camera setup, while the Nothing Phone (2a) will give you more time away from the power outlet.
The Poco X6 Pro hovers around the same price and is arguably a better all-rounder, except battery life is a tad shorter. The same goes for the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, which has a better build, better cameras and display, a faster chipset and is IP68-rated. Then again, its price is considerably higher too.
Although the Infinix Note 40 Pro+ has a few notable features like a big display, fast charging and wireless charging, they are not nearly enough to make the device stand out as a whole.
The unimpressive main camera, capped at 1440p video recording, the subpar performance and the substandard speakers keep us from giving the phone a better score.
