Huawei has sold 45 million Enjoy smartphones in three years

Huawei has made the Enjoy 9 Plus and Enjoy Max official at an event in China. The Honor 8X and 8X Max lookalikes come with slightly different specs and Huawei's badge on them instead of Honor's.

On that occasion, the company has boasted about achieving an important milestone. So far it has sold more than 45 million Enjoy smartphones across the globe. That's in around three years of availability of this line.

The family was born in 2015 with the Enjoy 5 and Enjoy 5s aiming for very budget-conscious buyers that were looking for a device in the CNY 1,000 to 1,999 price range (around $145 to $289). The Enjoy 6 and 6S came one year later, and 2017 saw the launch of the Enjoy 7, 7S, and 7 Plus. This year's been the most prolific in terms of launches, with the Enjoy 8, Enjoy 8e, and Enjoy 8 Plus already on the market.

It's easy to launch new Enjoy devices in 2018 because they use hardware that Huawei is already selling under different names in certain places. Anyway, the new Enjoy 9 Plus and Enjoy Max should help the company sell a few more million units of the series in the next few months.
