Huawei is working on a triple-folding smartphone, and we have seen the device twice, both times in the hands of Richard Yu, CEO of the consumer business division. Today, the man himself confirmed the phone will go on sale in September.

The executive attended a Stelato S9 delivery ceremony, an EV car with an infotainment system that is powered by HarmonyOS. During the event, one customer asked Yu about the tri-fold phone's unveiling and when they'll be able to purchase the device, to which they received a simple answer - "next month."

The triple-folding smartphone is expected to into a massive 10" screen. Whether or not this will fall under the Mate series like the Mate X lineup, we are yet to see – surely, with so many teasers, the official campaign is just around the corner.

Well there MIGHT be new tech in here, IF it is Z fold ONLY and the two ends are kept parallel with some mechanism between the two hinges, then the middle part of the display might be sliding, using simpler hinges. (A little hard for me to describe ...
