Huawei has made real progress with its own fast-charging solution and now the latest 40W capabilities are likely to trick down to the mid-range and hit the nova 5 series as well. Two devices with model numbers SEA-TL10 and SEA-AL10 were certified by 3C with a 40W charger coming in the retail box with the very same serial number, spotted on the Huawei P30 Pro’s charging block.
We are sure this is the new nova series, because Huawei has released member of its upper midrange lineup in the middle of the year in years past. The Mate flagships are also too far into the future (if coming at all, given the latest events), so we are left with an upcoming nova 5 lineup.
Another confirmation is the completely different device with a similar model number SEA-LX1, spotted on the Eurasian Economic Comission’s website, where the actual name “Huawei nova 5” can be seen, alongside the Huawei nova 5i, codenamed SEA-LX1U.
Cases and alleged renders also popped up earlier this month, suggesting similar look as the Huawei P30 lite, but with the fingerprint scanner making its way under the display.
