Huawei will host an event in China on September 7 to unveil the Mate XT 2 tri-fold smartphone and HarmonyOS 7. Huawei hasn't detailed the Mate XT 2's spec sheet yet, but it has released a video teaser that gives us our best look yet at the triple-folding smartphone.

The video also confirms rumors that the Mate XT 2 will adopt an inward-folding, U-shaped design, unlike the Z-shaped design of the Mate XT and Mate XTs. You can watch the video below.

The Huawei Mate XT 2 is rumored to come with a 6,000 mAh battery and Kirin 9050 Pro SoC, although we've also heard rumors about the Kirin 9030S chip. Its camera setup is said to be similar to the Mate X7's.
