it's annoying how most commentors in this thread and on this site in general are obsessed with flagship processors and think a phone is only relevant if it is high-end. it's such a ignorant view of what makes a device good for everyday tasks and misrepresents the importance of budget and accessible tech.

This device has fairly nice specs, a solid all-rounder for a mid ranger but, not at that price. Ideally they would have released this model at least a $100 cheaper and then it would have knocked off several of the competition, considering that it has the microsd suppport AND headphone jack.

I doubt the phone will have any takers at that price. HTC is trying to be relevant with phone production, but what about the price? they need to study the market

The reason they still keep pushing out a phone a year, regardless of how good/bad the phone actually is, is simply to retain the patterns they make the money from. Do not expect any big comeback or an HTC One revamped.

I have a real soft spot for HTC, my first android was the G1 then the Hero.
I really wish they'd gone for a higher tier SOC as I'd have bought this.
They're not going to bring anyone over with the SD 7, regardless of generation.
Such a shame, but glad they're making devices again.
Bring in a true flagship HTC, add some lights like the nothing 2, go dark with options that no one else offers and make it extremely mod friendly.

Thanks to this comment section, I learned phones with 68B colors exist now. Technology is wonderful!

HTC U24 pro is a nice phone good looks but I like 7 inch plus displays

Would be nice if the 7+ gen 3 was used, but SD card slot and 3.5mm jack is a gift presented on a silver platter for a higher being. I wonder why 4600mah battery for a phone that's 6.8in long though.
Everything else about this phone is good, it's like a phone that's frozen in 2019 that suddenly came to the future. However the curved screen must go, like please stop it.
