It happens to all touch devices to avoid the wrong touches of buttons... Once the screen blanks out, even though we press the screen when havng near our ears it is disabled... So no worries and no issues...

i hv the same problem. i know what it is. on the upper left there a black hole. its sensor, if u call or answer call, u take the phone close to your ears, it will blank the screen. what i usually did is rub the sensor to clear it. i hope microsoft fix this prob.

Screen blackens because of Proximity scanner available on top. It blackens screen so that one should not touch cancel button or any other button mistakenly during call.
Screen blackens moment you call and take phone to ear. When away from ear screen back to normal view.

smoode, 13 Sep 2011i agree with you but am just wondering if it has same functions with htc hd 7 or mozartnice phone...but which 1 better..??? the lumia 800 or Radar..??? in overall...i think the HTC is way better but i need help frm some phone experts... thx :)

PP, 31 Oct 2011Anyone can help me? when i make phone call the screen become black that i can't see anything.Don't worry. It's only the proximity sensor that keeps doing it. It senses an object near it(like your ear) and then your phone turns off while you make a call. It saves your battery's life.

wow! i just saw this phone being sold here in manila and the price is at around P18,200.00 and i think it is fair enough coz i bought my Desire S about a month ago and it cost P19,800.00 but it has an expandable memory whereas this only has and internal memory of 8GB. when it comes to physical features, gosh! this is way TOO GORGEOUS than any HTC phones out there! i'm still thinking hard though if i would change my BB 9900 and Desire S to iPhone 4 32GB black version and HTC Radar White. any suggestions from you guys? RIM's OS 7 vs iOS 5 and android 2.3 vs mango 7.5?

I really like this phone except of its operating system and price tag. I'm sure it would sell ridiculously great if it was to run Android and sell for 300-320 euro. 5mpx camera but apparently a good module (hopefully HTC didn't screw the drivers), perfect screen size and good design. Looks like a perfect mid-end, minus poor OS and just a bit too high price, like I said. So HTC's mistake was releasing this with Winmo instead of Android.

do you have any idea how much is it in philippine peso? i now have the BB 9900 and HTC DS howerever, i am planning to switch to iPhone 4 32 GB black and this HTC RADAR coz i want to experience a W7 handset. especially that it is upgraded to mango os. i love its look! i love bb and android but windows are much smoother and more friendly user than androids and iOS 5 is better than RIM's os7. i'll appreciate the answers from you guys... ^_^

got given one at work and it's pretty good. mango is sweet and despite only having a 1ghz processor the phone is actually really quick, and thats coming from someone that uses a galaxy sII. the social networking integration is good too. 7/10

1.Whats the name of the ap... moreOkay so here goes:
1. It's called Marketplace. And it's remarkably better than the othr app stores out there (After the Mango update)
2. Yes, it does have all that. It's media player is Zune. You can download it's PC equivalent from www.zune.net
3. Although you can choose only from black or white for the background color and a lil more for the Tiles, I still do recommend this if your a person who loves transitions on ur phone, super smooth nd really user friendly UI, Social networking freak (like me) coz its got everythn built right into it and works jus great!
