The screen controller or screen broke on mine with a drop on the back of the phone, on a soft surface and from hip height. The phone had a soft casing. Very disappointed in the screen that is now left unusable because it flickers, shows image reversed and doubled in places. Both front and rear facing cameras are not worth the money.

Sensors - Accelerometer, proximity, compass
But Compass apps not working. because magnetic sensor not included. i checked it using "Android Sensor" app. it did not detect magnetic sensor. (Accelerometer and proximity are ok)

I am using HTC 626 Desire since April, 2016. Based on my overall experience, the phone is good. This is fast and never hang. It has a cute look, too. However, there are some draw backs of this phone. 1. Very poor battery back up. Sometimes, the phone switch off when battery level goes below 40%. 2. No software update is available since a long time. 3. There is no option of switching on the phone in 'Safe' mode.

The system drains the battery like crazy. The display is horrible. It's useable but not something great. It doesn't lag much, that's something.

Phone is good, i think it give more value than mony, super speed, good UI,
Drawback -
No upgrades,
Barry backup not satisfied,
Low speaker sound,
Cant flashlight on under 20% battery level.

Phone is crappy. Don't bother getting one, there are better choices out there. I got it through my job for work. My personal phone is an I-phone, Way better then this!

The two things that i like about a phone, Maybe my previous phone has Spoilt me (Sony Xperia NeoL), this is my second android phone eversince i started using one in 2012, they are the built in speakers and the camera quality and both are a big compromise in this one, and a punch in my guts appalling, i am just stunned and shocked at the quality offered. It is a low priced phone compared to the Sony xperial NeoL but even then it just does not feel right because the camera certainly is a backward technology and not something that i expected from a HTC in 2017, it is like they didnt even check before putting these phones out in the market, if they did how could they offer something like this, im sure there can be no one from the company who will rely on this phone to take a picture of themselves if some one was to offer money to the ones in the photograph, it is so unreliable, i cant believe the level of ignorance and complete lack of concern here, it is deeply dissatisfying and heartbreaking, even the speakers on the phone are not easily good enough. About the camera the pictures taken in good light conditions of a still object will have blur edges maybe 7 out of 10 times and even the ones that dont have blurs which i have not found yet still dont feel like an 8 MP camera picture when i compare to any of the pictures from by previous 5MP sony xperia pictures, whereas the Sony was not the best in low light, but was just beautiful under adequate light and till natural visible sunlight was available and that despite being a 5 year old piece of tech. it gave me the impression that its standard to expect pictures like these from any mobile phone out there and i was so happy with it, but how wrong was i proved with my second this HTC, the video quality is horrible, its visibly grainy, dull, of a darker tint and a bit on the blur side the still images have the same characteristics aswell grainy and blur edges.
This Leaves me deeply disappointed and mournful i cant do anything about it now besides tell people about how this phone makes me feel and if they want to be able to take good quality photos and videos or even have the Luxury of listening to the phone ringing when some body calls, as the built in speakers are not easily good enough to allow that, and most specifically if they like a Phone which can take good pictures and videos then to easily look away from this HTC Desire 626, because its bad.

I have this phone since January 2016, it is great, it is 1.7GHz 2GB version Mediatek with T760 MP2 GPU, it is really fast and stable after root and lots of system apps being deleted and replaced with those from Asus and Sony.

both cameras are perfect .but main drawback battery back up is bad and we can't update KitKat version.

This phone is giving my wife a terrible time. The screen lights up but the phone will not boot. it has been like this for the past 4 hrs.

When I use this constantly sometimes the phone switched off..I Think Battery at its worst.
