To our surprise, HTC just came out with a new phone announcement - the Desire 12s follows the same design language of the U12 Life although, the official website doesn't say anything about glass so we suppose it uses a combination of glossy and matte plastic.
The front is occupied by a 5.7-inch display of HD+ (720 x 1440px) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. There's no notch and judging by the renders, the side bezels are really thin while the upper and lower ones are decent for an entry level phone too.
A Snapdragon 435 is ticking under the hood and it's paired with either 3GB RAM and 32GB storage or 4GB/64GB with a microSD card slot available in both cases. On the back, we find a camera setup that looks a lot like a dual camera, but it's actually a 13MP unit with f/2.0 aperture and a LED flash while the one on the front is also 13MP but the lens is f/2.2. The fingerprint reader is on the back.
The Desire 12s is powered by a 3,075 mAh battery with no support fast charging. Android 8.1 Oreo runs out of the box with HTC's Sense UI on top. It's already available in Taiwan in Black, Silver and Red for TWD 5,990 ($195) for the 3GB/32GB version while the 4GB/64GB units go for TWD 6,990 ($225). There's no word when the phone will make it outside of Taiwan.

HTC M10 is doing well, but HTC company should market their phones in East African.
