HTC has confirmed that its recently-unveiled U12+ flagship smartphone package doesn't include a USB-C to 3.5 mm headphone adapter. The confirmation came in the form of a reply to a user query on Twitter.
Wow! We'd like to thank you and congratulate you in advance for your upcoming HTC U12+, Aaroni. However, it does not come with a headphone adapter. It includes, HTC Rapid Charger 3.0 with USB Type-C Cable, HTC Clear Case, & HTC USonic™ Adaptive Earphones. Thank you :)

As made clear by the company's official Twitter account, in addition to the phone, the U12+ package contains HTC rapid charger 3.0 with USB Type-C cable, a clear case, and HTC USonic adaptive earphones.
Just in case you aren't aware, pre-orders for the device are live in both Europe and the US, where it carries a price tag of £700/€799 and $799 for the base model, respectively.

I pre-order the U12+ from HTC Club (Europe) and knowing this "USB-C to 3.5 jack" adapter would be missing, I added it to my cart. It was saved for 0€ ! In my pre-order bill, I have a "reduction" entry of the adapter price. Don't know if I was lucky...
