Honor View 20 India launch set for January 29, likely joined by Honor 10 Lite

Honor closed 2018 quite strong with the unveiling of its intriguing new View 20 flagship handset . Its trendy design, featuring a punch-hole selfie camera and impressive 48MP main shooter have been turning more than a few heads since. What better time to keep the hype going? Honor's thoughts, exactly, as evidenced by the speedy European unveiling of the device, already set for January 22 in Paris.

Like they say, there's no smoke without a fire and the rumor mill is definitely blazing with Honor leaks today. One source claims to have info on the European pricing for the View 10. Apparently, on the Old Continent, retail will start at EUR 549/569 (depending on the country) for a 6GB, plus 128GB Phantom Blue version. From there you can move up to an 8GB, plus 256GB variant in either Sapphire Blue or Black, which will set you back EUR 649/699, again depending on the particular country.

The Honor Watch Magic will also likely make an appearance at the Paris event. As per the same pricing sheet, it will sell for EUR 179 in Europe. But it will also likely be offered free with the purchase of a Honor View 20 by many retailers.

On to India then, where Honor's local branch has been keeping rather busy teasing both the View 20 and the Honor 10 Lite - an eagerly anticipated successor to the Honor 9 Lite, which has been enjoying plenty of popularity on the emerging India market.

As per our second source of rumors for today, Honor has already sent out "Save the Date" invitations for the local launch on January 29. And seeing how yet another source has been speculating that the Honor 10 Lite will be entering India some time in January, as well, it is likely that the two will share the stage. Judging by Honor India's teasers, both will also be Amazon exclusives.

In case you are not in the know about the Honor 10 Lite, it was actually unveiled in China about a month prior to the View 10. With a price tag of under $300, a respectable specs sheet, quite similar to that of the Honor 8X and a big focus on selfies and AI photography, it might just have what it takes to live up to the expectations set by its predecessor on the India market.
