No headphone jack, no buy
Core, 13 Sep 2024Fourth Day going now. Ive been very Happy and satisfied with the V3. Coming from Samsung Fold ... moreAlso to add for those worried about GSMArena battery test:
The V3 (and likely other Honor phones too of recent times) has an option enabled by default, that reduces battery capacity by 20%. So there's a big chance that GSMArena tested the battery with just 80% of the capacity of 5150 mAh.
Why? It's the same as with some electric cars, where you have an option to only charge to 80% to extend the life and well being of the battery. One could argue that it might be smarter for Honor to have this option disabled by default so that everyone starts with 100% capacity and those planning to hold loooooong term can then turn this setting on. But for whatever reason they decided to enable it by default. I think this might be why GSMArena test has pretty bad results while almost everywhere else the battery life is good or even very good (and at the very least average).
That said, after 6 days of using this phone as a somewhat of a heavy user due to my work, I havnt had any issues with battery life so far. When I used the Fold5 I had more issues than with the V3 now. And I still have that 80% limit thing enabled.
And I have to say that holy jeebus I love this phone. Some things work with a weird logic compared to One UI/Samsung Folds, but you really just have to figure it out once and then it comes naturally. Only slight problem has been Android Auto crashing while wireless charging, likely due to overheating. My Fold5 would stop wirelessly charging very soon too and complain about heat, but at least it didnt crash the Android auto. So I just try to not charge while driving and it's fine. EVERYTHING else is way better than on the Folds, though (cant speak for stylus though, dont have Honor Magic Pen, did enjoy Fold and S24U stylus tho)
Fourth Day going now. Ive been very Happy and satisfied with the V3. Coming from Samsung Fold background, many things work with a bit different logic. Smasung may be a little more intuitive or then i just got used to it but the software isnt bad by any means once you just get used to it. Its just different, not really better/worse
Only issue has been when trying to wirelessly charge while using Android auto. It easily overheats and reboots the app. Using the supplied case probably isnt helping, that said Fold5 would overheat too very fast doing the same thing but it started thermal throttling qnd shut down the charging before Android auto started crashing.
Its a bit of q bummer cos I drive alot and its handy to combat battery drain while driving, but again, the Fold5 didn't really charge any more than the V3 but at least it didn't crash the app
Yo iphoners..wake up guys. Open your eyes.
Damn … I just went to Alza showroom and I checked this phone. I am impresed. If Apple will do this formfactor, it need to be at least as good as this phone. The cover screen is great size and the inside one. Small yet big. To this one, Samsung feels really old.
Best folding phone without worrying of scratched big screen because still got that main front screen as backup when folded, at less than 10mm to hold on hand like a normal phone.
H, 05 Sep 2024Not even worth the price. Lousy battery and camera. Ugly design too. iPhone for Ass user?
Can guess, that's why u prefer paying 3x more for stuffs already valid on other Android phones.
H, 05 Sep 2024Not even worth the price. Lousy battery and camera. Ugly design too. It's your opinion. You don't speak for everyone else. It's actually the opposite to be honest. It's looking great inside and out.

i can't grasp why people here begin to discuss and bash the price of this handset. what we have here is a technological marvel and if you can't afford the fastest car, it doesn't mean it's overpriced. get real folks and just embrace what you can't have.
This phone cannot cost 700 Euro production price per piece at a sales volume of at least 1 million pieces. And it is on sale for 1400/1700 euros! Somehow it becomes a rule to be totally disappointed by Huawei/honor, or new people just want huge fortunes one day

I have Honor Magic 4 pro and Android Auto wireless is working like a charm , even the phone is already 3 years old
This phone is undoubtedly no 1 folding phone in 2024. amazing specs with affordable price.
Anyone knows if Android Auto actually works wirelessly on this? I remember the V2 (and most Honor phones?) never seemed to get this working
H, 05 Sep 2024Not even worth the price. Lousy battery and camera. Ugly design too. You're literally just a hater.
Honor is known for processing only second to Google, and that makes it easy better than 95% phone camera systems
Not even worth the price. Lousy battery and camera. Ugly design too.
