For me... morei would love to know.i have huawei mate 20x 7.2in..love it.but now i only have mobile data and texting.ive searched hogh and low for anything with a screen bigget than 7 in.with other good specs.you would think in the entire world tbere would be a phone.non folding screen.

I updated the phone to EMUI 9. The apps are still on the phone and working, however the phone got a lot slower and the Google Play Store is crippled, it won't open. So unable to update apps. I have to find a solution for that if it exists. I have a Chinese 8X Max so I needed a workaround to install GMS on it in the first place.

What I love about this phone is the ability to share your hotspot while you are connected to WiFi through WiFi bridge...this phone is great, once you charge fully , u can enjoy for it for few days..

Guys this phone still feels snappy as of today and the battery life is still great. However I would really to be able and enjoy the full benefits from a global rom since the chinese rom does not receive any notifications when phone is locked.
Could someone please provide me with a link or the full instructions on how to flash the rom and install a global one? Much appreciated

Does any one know if this will get enabled by upgrading to EMUI 9.0 or this will never support VOLTE calls.
HONOR 8X MAX EMUI 9.1 but still does not support VOLTE call's

sikobies, 10 Mar 2021emui 11.1 released and this phone is still stuck in emui 8.1 shame on honor and huaweiYes indeed, I have this phone for some years yet I got maybe 2 updates. Security patch still June 2019, yes 2019. Software support is horrible, needed a workaround to get GMS twice, first time to get in in the first place and the second time after an update. I absolutely do not recommend any Honor or Huawei phone at all. There is an Android update available but I know when installing it I can't get GMS and that means this phone is not usable for me. So I simply cannot update.
