I got the update in India, if the update is not showed in software update option, then go to hicare app and select the location India and click the update option u will recieve the update in setting about 3.97 gb

My phone was stuck on Android 8.0 Following a tip I did a Factory Reset and as soon as I set up WiFi v9.0.1.175 firmware became available for download. I don't know why that worked but it did!

After the update, 5Ghz WiFi is now fully working again. Both lower and upper channel ranges.

After reading the comments being posted I'm glad that the Pie update was never released in the UK. Honor NEVER update their phones in the UK but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

Lame Young Yougurt, 06 May 2019My phone can't connect to 5ghz after the pie update also the 2.4ghz wifi connection becomes ve... moreIt seems that after upgrading firmware to 9.0.1.xxx, the Honor 8 Pro can no longer detect the upper 5GHz wifi channel bands (149 to 165). Only the lower 5GHz bands (36,40,44,48) are usable. This is clearly a bug.
I was forced to change my home router to use the lower 5GHz bands.
The other solution is to downgrade firmware back to 8.x which was working fine with all 5GHz bands.
I hope Honor will fix this problem soon.

Is there anyone who received any updates after the EMUI 9 update? Cuz I have not received any update since then and I don't know why, especially when new updates are being released every now and then

My phone can't connect to 5ghz after the pie update also the 2.4ghz wifi connection becomes very unstable sometimes only transferring a few bytes of data per second... Whats wrong with honor and the software???

The same thing happened with the Honor 8 Oreo up... moreThat is weird though, because even if the update appeared in my phone, I changed the location to the UK in order to have it requested (through HiCare) and everything went just fine....what if you try to change it to another location as well?

I never expected Pie update for a two year old phone, honor is good in updates compare to others
