Picked up a 6X for 6 bucks. I have the 4/32GB China version running Oreo with EMUI 8.0 on top.
After using it for a while, I can see why this phone was so popular. This was a rock solid midranger with an excellent LCD screen and good cameras. It's also lightweight with decent build quality.

I have had this phone since March 2017 (almost 8 years ago) and it still works like the first day. The very high-quality hardware combined with the EMUI 5.0.4 user interface has turned this phone into a work of art. From the first days, with a trick I learned from YouTube, I stuck a SIM card under the RAM and could use two SIM cards and one RAM in this phone at the same time. Even though I now have a Motorola Moto G84, I still use my Honor 6X as a work phone for calls, messages, partial use of social networking and banking applications, etc. outside the house. The only problem I had after years of using this phone was that its main battery became weak, forcing me to replace it with a spare battery, but it is not as good as the main battery in any way and drains quickly. The 32 GB internal storage space was also not enough. this problem was solved by using a 128 GB RAM. After 8 years of use, the following advantages are still valuable:
- Solid metal body
- Attractive, beautiful and modern design
- Very high-quality and sensitive fingerprint sensor
- Real 12-megapixel main camera (the quality of photos taken with it is better than the 50-megapixel cameras of some other brands of phones)
- Very high-quality 403 PPI screen
- The phone's call management, messaging, memory and file management, launcher, security, etc. software are so high-quality and complete that there is no need to replace them with similar software.
It was really a disaster that the cooperation between Honor and Huawei ended and Huawei was banned by Google. Otherwise, I definitely would not buy any phone except the phones produced by them.

Apart from bit janky scrolling, this phone held up pretty good even in 2024. Phone is still surprisingly snappy. Ram management is best in class even today. I'm using this as a home phone now. Miss those days when Huawei Global was at its prime.

Been using it for 6 years. Never used it for gaming even back then. Mostly used it for web browsing, Youtube & Xwidyos. Only issue for me now is running out of space because of whatsapp. Otherwise great phone. Best I ever had.

The biggest drawback of this device according to my father's experience using it is the speed of charging. This device takes a very long time to finish charging.

It's very good with minimal lag.bit the only caveat being that it runs on android 7. At least 8 would have been better

I have been using this model for the past five years and believe me, even today in 2023, I have never found a phone of any brand better than this one with 4/64. Even today, the ease I feel using it is unmatched by any other brand of phone. So as long as my phone is working I can't think of any other model.

Had this phone since 2017 and very happy with. Camera is really excellent and made fme alling in love with smartphone photography... In November 2022 I decided to update to a better cameraphone and purchased an Oppo Find X5.
But surprisingly, shots by Honor 6x are by far better in daylight, expecially macros. Maybe last phones have too much software modifications. I can show same shots taken with the 2 phones and the difference of quality is evident, Honor is the winner. Big surprise and deception for my revent purchase
