The most important thing is to limit background usage of social media and other similar apps, as no matter what, they like to mine data from the background all the time, which drains battery a lot.
I charge battery on mine up to 80% and it easily lasts me a full day without any issues.
I even use old charger from Huawei Nova 5t (22.5W), and it charges to 80% in around 45-50 minutes, so even old Huawei chargers are seemingly perfectly compatible.

The silicone carbon batteries are amazing, I don't have this phone but I do have the 400 Pro with 5300 mAh battery and it is so good. I would say almost as good as 6000 mah battery in the oneplus 13r.

To anyone using this phone, how is battery life? i am kinda considering it as my next phone (the other option would be the oneplus 12 but it is like 200 euros more expensive), but the battery life from the gsmarena tests look a little bit deceiving given the fact it has a 5200 mAh battery

I know it ain't the most ideal, but at least it will partially help with taking selfies.

Besides, this phone also lacks on-screen restart function. Hold the power button to show the restart function, i just can't nake it at 1st trial usually.
You could suggest Honor to add cheese and on-screen restart function.
After adding double tap to turn on / off screen, this phone is better now

I have used Honor 8X for 6 years(2019-2025) and was very fond of the machine except for the front camera's focusing on the closest face when taking group selfies. And then bought a 200Pro after exploring about the selfies(high thanks to GSM arena on that). But what a disappointment to discover the fact that there exists no voice-command-photo-taking on this model, whereas i was frequently using on the 8X by saying firmly "cheese". What a giant backwars leap for Honor brand!!!

no one mention that this phone is killing apps in the background like a crazy?
So you are missing notification from many of them. If you change battery settings to manual for specific apps, phone will start notify about finding apps that is using a lot of energy and you can not switch it of!
