GSMArena.com turns 21, happy birthday to us!

It’s a big day for all of us here at GSMArena as we complete our 21st lap around the sun. With great power comes great responsibility and we promise to be responsible with our alcohol consumption now that we’re old enough to drink. Cheers!

On a more serious note, we’re glad and humbled to be around for such a long time and we owe it all to you – our readers. The past year was a proper rollercoaster journey filled with mixed emotions.

We kept our day-to-day stream of spec listings, news and reviews but we also fought an uphill battle to regain our YouTube channel which was hijacked but ultimately came back in our rightful possession. We’re also doing the trendy YouTube Shorts format for some of our reviews now so feel free to glance over and tell us what you think.

The site got some cool new 3D models courtesy of our friends over at Binkies 3D giving you a whole new way to experience the latest and greatest smartphones in all of their beauty right from your browser. There’s also the option to compare phones to a regular credit card as a size reference so you can see just how much space that smartphone you’re eyeing would take up.

Another neat addition to our arsenal is the What is my phone tool which tells you the exact model device you’re holding in your hands. Dark mode is now present on our mobile site for registered users, joining the ranks of the GSMArena app.

We also added a widget to compare devices undergone our battery endurance test to see which one lasts the most. Deal hunting also got easier with our Daily deals page which scouts the Internet for the best discounts on smartphones across several markets.
