Google to relaunch the Pixel Tablet without dock, finally release stylus and keyboard for it

Google Android Tablets Rumors

Google released the Pixel Tablet in June of last year, and it has so far come with a Charging Speaker Dock in the box - a unique pairing, aimed to make it usable as a smart speaker when docked. The uniqueness may not have convinced too many people that the combo is a must-have, and so Google is now rumored to give up on bundling the dock with the tablet.

It will stop doing so on May 10, according to a tipster over on X (formerly Twitter). But wait, there's more. You won't just be able to purchase the tablet sans dock, but Google will also finally release a stylus and a keyboard for the tablet.

These won't be bundled with the tablet either, instead you'll have to buy them separately at a cost of €100 in the Eurozone for each. So if you want to get both the stylus and the keyboard, that will cost you €200 on top of the tablet's price. Both of these accessories will be available in Hazel and Porcelain, which are two of the three colorways of the Pixel Tablet itself.

If Google stops bundling the dock with the Pixel Tablet, we're hoping a permanent price cut will ensue to cover the difference in what you're getting compared to the people who got the bundle. This is, however, only our assumption, as the source of this rumor hasn't shed any light on that particular situation.

About time! Not having keyboard and stylus support is a huge deal breaker. Not many people want a smarr home dock, but a lot want keyboard and stylus.
