Google Posts availability expands to musicians

  • Post your comment

Enrique 08 March 2018

Google Online services

Google first introduced “Posts” a while back as a way for US Presidential campaigns to reach more people via Google Search results. Today, Google announces that Google Posts are now available to musicians so fans can follow them the same way.

Musicians can go to posts.google.com and get verified. Once done, they can make posts that will show in Google Search results. Google’s Blog post featured the following artists: Lorde, Steve Aoki, Sia, Son Litte, Sofi Tukker, Shakira, and Kygo. Simply perform a Google search and you can see the artist’s update in a sort of Twitter-feed kind of format.

Google says these posts will appear in the artist’s Knowledge panel that come right before the actual search results. This is a great way to reach Google Search users who may not follow the artist or probably doesn’t use social media.
