Google Pixel 7 Pro prototype leaks in live images

Google Android

A couple of days ago a Google Pixel 7 prototype did the rounds over on eBay and Facebook Marketplace, live images and all, and it didn't take very long for its bigger brother to be subjected to a similar treatment. This time around there isn't anyone trying to sell a prototype, but live images of it have been leaked even so.

The Pixel 7 Pro has an additional camera compared to the Pixel 7, but otherwise the design seems very similar on the back, with the new metal camera visor that wraps into the frame on both sides. It's similar enough to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro's visor that it's instantly recognizable as a Google phone, but if you do pay attention you will notice the subtle changes in design. On the front the Pixel 7 Pro seems to have a similarly curved screen to its predecessor, which may in fact be the exact same panel.

We're not quite sure what's going on with the Device Info listing the name as Cubot Cheetah 2. Cheetah is supposedly the codename for the upcoming Pixel 7 Pro, sure, but Cubot is a Chinese phone maker in its own right. Maybe it has something to do with the manufacturing of this Pixel? There was a Cubot Cheetah 2 smartphone many, many years ago, but this is definitely not it - the bezels give it away.

Anyway, that's probably a mystery for another day. The alleged Pixel 7 Pro prototype does have the same logo on the back as the Pixel 7 prototype that went up for sale earlier this week, and this is standard practice for Google - a different logo tries to obfuscate what device it actually is. Then again, that's pretty hard in reality when that camera visor is such a unique design feature in this day and age.

The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro should only become official in the fall (probably around October), and at this rate of leaks we're pretty sure we'll be thoroughly acquainted with them well before that.

Google mobilephone designers must be AmongUs game Pro Players, cuz since Pixel 6 series, the back side ofbumpy camera design, that makes us feel like holding 1 of the game character.

Corner selfie cams are incredibly hard to center your face in the frame because the angle is different compared to when selfie cam is in the middle. I don't care that much since I don't make selfies, but when I used mirror feature few times...
