Google is pretty religious about rolling out new monthly Android updates to its Pixels on the first working Monday of every month (if the first Monday happens to be a holiday in the US, then the release comes on the Tuesday following it).
However, something went wrong this month with the update for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, as the duo have only started receiving the December update today, precisely one week later than they should have.
As usual, the new software brings the latest security fixes, but aside from that, the newest Pixels are also getting everything that Google announced last week as part of its December Feature Drop.
It's likely that, while the rollout has started today, it will take at least a few days, if not weeks, for it to reach all of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro units out there. So even if you don't get it right away, know that it's coming any day now.
