No sd card slot, premium pricing for a sub-par hardware phone...google is smoking the wrong stick.
i rather get the note 8 or s8 plus...at least these phones don't make me pay over and over again for things i already owned.
google need to get it clear, give the consumer what they want!!! if people want to be fleeced, they go buy an iphone. if google wants their phone to compete, LISTEN!!
android users are not idiots who go buy iphones, they buy android coz they can do whatever the hell they want with their phones.

No need to go 'Mi Mix' style all of a sudden. Just do it like G6 style is good enough. Emphasize more on software. Need to improve pixel launcher to be more simple. Direct rival of iphone.

It would be so bad if this phone ends up with normal bezels like the first Google Pixel. The bezel-less design like in the Iphone 8 looks soo-soo good. It would be a shame if this one didn't have something similar.

What has gone wrong with google? screw up after screw up... gone are the golden days of nexus 4 and 5. Flagship at midrange. They improved camera over last 2 iterations of google phones but then shot the price up by twice. Barring camera there wasn't much premium about last year's phone, now they have decided to remove 3.5mm jack?? seriously? what's the motive? i bet pixel 2 isn't going to be any slimmer than iphone 7 which wasn't slimmer than iphone 6 which had a 3.5mm jack and yet the slimmest iphone till date(6.9 mm vs 7.1mm for 6s and 7). The corporate greed for sale of additional adapters and wireless headsets wins over consumer needs.

It most likely pack android 8.1, google always introduces a new version of android with its phones, and has them run it for the first time. We've seen it on the nexus devices and last year with the pixels. Android 8 is already out there and will be released officially way before the pixels launch

I want to know if the regular Pixel 2 will have hi res audio. FYI: new rumors suggest at least one the new models will have a Snapdragon 836 chipset.
