Google's mobile augmented reality platform ARCore is now available in China. The company has teamed up with Xiaomi to offer ARCore apps through the Chinese company's App Store. Here's the announcement tweet:

For those wondering, Google's partnership with Xiaomi stems from the fact that the search giant's own Play Store (which is required by ARCore for updates) isn't available in China.
In China, the Mi Mix 2S is the first device that's compatible with ARCore apps. Google says more partners will be announced soon.
