Global or Indian iQOO Z7 Pro runs Geekbench with Snapdragon 782G on board

iQOO vivo Android

Last week iQOO announced an India-exclusive Z7, then followed yesterday by the Z7 for China, which is a completely different device. However, it looks like the vivo sub-brand is now working on bringing the Chinese Z7 to India and other countries outside of China, only under the Z7 Pro moniker, rather confusingly.

This device has been spotted in Geekbench's online database, and it's powered by the same Snapdragon 782G SoC as the Chinese Z7. The prototype that ran the benchmark had Android 13 installed, unsurprisingly, and 12GB of RAM on board, although we assume other memory options will also be available when the phone launches.

It managed an 873 single-core score and a 2,928 multi-core score, although as this is a prototype you probably shouldn't pay too much attention to the scores.

If the international Z7 Pro does indeed turn out to be nothing but a rebranded Chinese Z7, then expect it to come with a 6.64-inch 1080x2388 120 Hz IPS LCD touchscreen, a 64 MP main camera with OIS with a 2 MP depth sensor alongside, a 16 MP selfie snapper, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 120W wired charging support.

...they do realise that at least for India, if the Z7 Pro is a rebranded Chinese Z7, the specifications of the Indian Z7 are much more preferable to that of the supposed rebranded Z7 Pro? Who on earth would choose an IPS LCD screen with a side-mounte...
