Gionee Android

A few days ago, we learned Gionee is set to launch an entry-level smartphone dubbed Gionee Max on August 25 in India, which will pack a big battery and will be priced under INR6,000 ($80/€70). Now the company has uploaded a banner on its official Twitter account to reveal the phone's design, while the promo page on Flipkart has been updated to reveal more specs.

The Gionee Max will pack a 6.1" HD+ waterdrop notch display with 2.5D curved glass on top, with the back home to a dual camera setup aligned vertically in the top-left corner.

The smartphone will have 2GB RAM and 32GB storage onboard, and fueling the entire package will be a 5,000 mAh battery, which will likely draw power through a microUSB port at up to 10W.

The rest of the specs like the chipset and cameras are currently unknown, but we'll know more about them and the pricing and availability on Tuesday.
