Nothing Android

The Nothing phone (1) will be sold through an invite system. How do you get an invite? Well, you join the pre-order waitlist, that’s how.

Private community members are getting their invite codes today. If you are not among them, you can sing up here if you’re in Europe or here if you are in India to get a spot in the queue. You can move up that queue by referring friends (well, you move up only if they sign up as well). At the time of writing there are are already over 20,000 fans in the queue.

Fans can now join the waitlist for the Nothing phone (1)

Once your turn comes, you will get an email with the invite code and you need to act within 48 hours. This requires putting down a non-refundable £20 deposit, but for your trouble you will receive an extra £20 credit to spend on the phone (1) or ear (1).

This all builds up to July 12 when Nothing will actually start taking orders – everything up to that point was just jockeying for position. The £20 deposit will be deducted from the phone’s price – we should note that we still don’t know what that will be. Anyway, you will have 14 days to confirm the order.

Nothing notes that supplies for the phone (1) will be limited early on, so this invite system is a way for community members to jump ahead of everyone else. This way fans should have the new phone a couple of weeks before anyone else will be able to pick one up.

As some of you may remember, the OnePlus One (the first phone that Carl Pei's old company launched) became available in June 2014 through an invite system. The company celebrated its first birthday in December of that year by making the One freely available. It's not clear how long the Nothing invite system will stick around, it probably depends on how quickly the company's production catches up to the demand.

I'm sure most people don't really expect 100x to perform well at all. They are wanting some more reasonable telephoto capabilities like 3x, 6x. This is a great compromise considering most $400-$500 phones aren't very great. But mo...

Because it's horrible.! None of the 100x phones does give ok quality, unless you point it at the moon. A family of swans across the lake can't even be identified because of the phone with Tele lens. Better just buy a phone for about 400$ an...
