RGB LED notification, 120Hz LCD screen, Android 14, 16GB DDR5 RAM, 512 GB ROM, SD card capable, very good camera images processed in daylight, almost flagship quality. Also 4k video, smooth web browsing and day to day use, a second screen at the back, at least two days battery life with intensive use. And clear phone calls and hands free use. What not to like for £230? I have used this phone for two weeks now. Recommended.

Cubot KingkongX user, 11 Mar 2025Phones don't come with clear android ,even cubot.Because cubot uses own filmwareWhere are you getting your info from. I'm on my 2nd Cubot KingKong series of phones and from my long emails back and forth with Cubot they all come with stock Android. No bloatware.

NeonHD, 30 Jun 2024Hopefully it'll have reverse charging with that capacity. Then it can become three things... moreThe KingKong 9 & Star could both do reverse charging, but if you are charging another USB-C device it's not easiest to determine which one will be charging & which will be charger.

They are usually about a generation/year behind the big names but are always respectable. The Helio they used before switching to 5G was always right behind the Snapdragon in Performance Rankings & performed very well, the only negative I have it with it is the DuraSpeed that's part of the chip's software & can be annoying to get working the way you want. This one is using a Dimensity processor, which the Star had, so I'm a little concerned because of the issues with the Star (The only KingKong or Cubot phone I've had issues with) but hope it will be just the Star not the Processor itself that was bad on that one

I never thought I'd see the day and obscure brand use such a strong processor

Hopefully it'll have reverse charging with that capacity. Then it can become three things: a phone, power bank, and a throwable brick for self-defence.
