The CMF sub-brand by Nothing is expanding its ranks today with the freshly announced Watch Pro 2 and Buds Pro 2. These are successors to last year’s CMF Buds Pro and CMF Watch Pro and offer upgrades across the board.
CMF Watch Pro 2 features a round 1.32-inch AMOLED display with 466 x 466px resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. The display is rated at 620 nits peak brightness and features over 100 watch face options.
Nothing is also introducing interchangeable curved and flat watch bezels for the Watch Pro 2 which combined with the 22mm watch strap options allow you to switch its look to suit your style.
The watch comes with an aluminum alloy case and midframe as well as a crown element for navigating the UI. New for this year are the customizable widget screens which are just a swipe away from the home screen. You can also customize your own widgets in the CMF Watch app.
Watch Pro 2 tracks your usual mix of health readings including heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, stress and sleep tracking with the updated sleep detection algorithm. You also get over 120 sports modes with a dedicated Cywee algorithm, interval training, personal HR zones, and warm-up exercises. The onboard GPS receiver ensures your walks, runs and hiking sessions are tracked. You can export your workout data with Strava, Apple Health, and Google Health Connect.
You can also make calls, control media playback and receive notifications all on the watch. It is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance and features a 305mAh battery rated at 11 days of typical usage and 9 days of heavy use.
CMF Watch Pro 2 comes in black, orange and light blue colors. Pricing starts at $69/€69/£69/INR 4,999 with open sales scheduled for July 12 from cmf.tech and Amazon.
CMF Buds Pro 2 features the same design as the CMF Buds but offer some notable upgrades on the inside. Chief among them are the dual drivers featuring 11mm dynamic drivers and 6mm planar tweeters for richer sound quality.
Buds Pro 2 also support the LDAC codec for high-bitrate audio streaming and adaptive noise cancellation (ANC) which is advertised to drown out up to 50dB of surrounding noise. Another cool addition is that the dial on the case is now a fully-fledged button so you can adjust your volume, accept and hang calls, and toggle ANC on or off.
There are 3 microphones on each earbud with updated voice pickup and wind noise reduction algorithms. Nothing is also offering a Spatial Audio Effect for surround sound experience. Battery life from the buds and their case is rated at up to 41 hours of total playtime with ANC off and 30 hours with ANC on.
CMF Buds Pro 2 come in Dark Grey, Light Grey, Orange, and Blue (India exclusive) colors. Pricing starts at $59/€59/£59/INR 4,299. Open sales tip-off on July 12 from cmf.tech and Amazon.
Exactly, the tech is still maturing so few need more than this and most confuse smart features with health features. To many people spend money on wear is or Apple watches when they only need a fitness band or something like this.
Junk. Compared to contemporaries; there is NOTHING here to add to the smartwatch story, NOTHING.
