When I see blackberry passport on online I really exited .
For more years after now I Barth a used one now
I really enjoying now to using it
Camera clarity superb
Good battery back up
Display performance good
But we can’t use apps now become blackberry quit their services so we did’t get software support.
I am a blackberry fan and I just brought this phone because I am a fan however I would love if this phone would be working on Android OS.But I loved the built in quilt and the keypad quality was smooth however I couldn’t use it much because The Blackberry OS did not support the latest apps and stop functioning eventually. However I still have it in my collection.
Jasiu, 20 May 2022... I must say that I absolutely LOVE it! What a pity I hadn't bought that before. Anyway... moreSorry, I don't want to mislead anyone. GPS is working, but takes bit longer to trace the signal. I've got 3 naviagtion apps, all of them are working fine :)
... I must say that I absolutely LOVE it! What a pity I hadn't bought that before. Anyway e-mails, texts, call, (2G/3G/4G) mms, mobile data everything's working fine besides GPS and google maps with positioning.. (still trying to sort it out somehow and find a working apk.) Prior to me was a WhatsApp which can be install easily and also some other older android apps. Ps. Battery last for whole day, I'm not sure if it is because handset is constantly trying to connect to BB services, or because I use it quite a bit.
While reading on the internet that Blackberry is officially offline and dead (also onward mobility) I decided to buy this terminal and give it a try in may 2022. Hopefully there's a way to skip BB ID while setting up device :) Now after fortnights I must say that I absolutely LOVE it! What a pity I hadn't bought that before. I've Passport for over 5 years and I think it's the best phone ever. The problem is that BB stopped some services and the phone tries to establish the connection with servers in Canada. It yields problems with accumulator - normally it worked 3, max 4 days, now it's less tan 1 day ;-( but texting, calling, www browsing work correctly.
This was the ultimate smartphone of all time. They simply got it right. I had a very hard time letting mine go and would still be using it today if it supported more recent apps.

The Classic (Q20), and probably other BBOS 10 devices like the Z30 and the limited edition Porsche devices can still work, won't be too useful with the shutdown of almost every single Blackberry services that are still alive for BBOS 7.1 and 10.

If not, is there some process to make the Q5, Passport, and the Q10 stll useful after the 3G shutdown? THanks in advance for your input.

Anonymous, 16 Sep 2021this phone is LTE which is 4G compliant right? The Passport supports LTE but not VoLTE. When 3G gets dismantled you wont be able to make any calls with this phone.
Official support for Blackberry 10 phones ends early next year. They will become bricks if you try to factory reset them next year. It's best to backup and wipe your ohone now and reinstall BB10 without a BBID.
The same applies to the PlayBook tablet.

If this ran android, it may still be a good budget phone. Plus, i'd love a fully square display with a keyboard running android, and this ticks all checkmarks except for that, last, one...
