Personally bought in 2019 but still same performance is be given but issues with parts availability.

Stratospheric, 28 Aug 2023We do really need another flagship with IPS. For current situation, no, because even cheaper mid range already using AMOLED.
AMOLED is always superior to IPS LCD in term of picture quality, and power efficiency.
AMOLED weaknesses are shorter overall life time and lesser durability.
The next generation screen technology is MicroLED, the advance version of AMOLED with longer life time.
All these are just of factor of cost/price, and quality.

Slightly drop in lighting will cause the camera to drop in performance, especially drop in detail, which makes you feel the image less "sharp" or become blurry. On overall, if done without pixel peepping, the camera is great on it's own by that time, which only doesn't work great on low light and extreme low light.

My phone has no physical damage but the main camera now captures blurry photos. The ultrawide sensor works just fine. But the primary sensor shows blur. Bought this phone in 2018... Maybe the time to change phone has finally come. Will buy asus or samsung phone....

I had this phone from second hand buy and using it since 3 years....it's a really great smartphone....yes it is 5 years older phone but man....this phone holds up so great and battery backup is still so good..I still play pubg on this phone and it runs smoothly as usual...Asus has been my favourite brand so far

The Asus phone is running fantastic since last 4.5 years except Speakers. The video speakers sound is very low. It's very low since 4.3 years. After giving it to service centre its still same.
Not happy about the service centres as well. I think they just promised and doing anything else

6 yrs already still working....but starting abit slow...in gaming performance especially the touch sensitivity...
Looks like i need to get other brand of wait for ROG 7 i guess....

Every phone in this generation will be all worse lol.
But I'm happy with this Zenphone 5z.
5 years and it is still work well just like my 11 years old Core i5 2500K

This is one of the proper smartphone that I abuse more than the others and still alive until today. You might have bad luck regarding your unit. I can say that this is one of the most durable smartphone out there.

My Zenfone 5z camera stopped working completely with no physical damage at all. Did everything reset the phone nothing happened. Went to service centre they urged to change motherboard. On of the worst experience on phone. A 10 year old nokia phone was better, it's camera all the hardware works till date but this phone just too bas.

I am having an issue with VoWiFi, that when connected to a working WiFi then calls don't work at all. It just says "Call ended"
Disabling WiFi, calls start to work again.

Mine's camera is still ok, can focus, on the last and latest firmware running on Android 10.
