I got this tablet on christmas 2011, this was a very decent piece of tech back then. Games ran great, I could play flash games using the web browser, it had plenty of storage for my use (back then apps were way smaller) and battery life was pretty good (especially with the keyboard attachment). When it became too slow for games, I used it for web browsing and word processing at work until I was able to afford a new machine in 2020. It still works to this day and I now use it for old discontinued games from back then and light emulators. The power button's rubber spacer melted recently so I had to fix it with 3D printing but otherwise everything still works. The Play store is now useless on Android 4.0 but you can get around it by downloading old APKs of the apps you want to install.
I wouldn't recommend getting one today as a main tablet (this thing is way too old and slow for anything) but if you're a collector, it's a very intersting device that was well thought out at the time and you will have no problem in obtaining one for cheap and tinker with it.

this tab worked only for 6months i got his as a gift. the power button is filled with wax which is some sort of cheap look and the button broke within 6 month the shops said its unable to fix it and also the performacne is also not good in this tab. the os does not update . i say that asus laptops are a good choice but not tabs.

fun and really useful. even after 3 years work as very flawless as if it was new.

Opera works pretty good on it. Also disable all the Asus bloatware and it will increase the battery life and performance. I use it mostly now to read e-books. Power button is wearing off. Docking station keyboard is kaput. But the battery in the docking station extends the life of the tablet. Plus the USB ports on the docking station makes it easier to transport files.

My TF101 still works flawlessly, but you can no longer install most apps as the OS can't be updated without rooting the device.
I hate to say it, but spend $100 and you'll get a better tablet these days lol. Oh how times have changed.
If you're stuck with not being able to install even chrome, my advice is, just buy a new tablet for cheap.

AnonD-674633, 04 Jun 2017The color is rose gold, Not black or bronze. I can't get it to update from the 3.0 version.You probably have a different device or you don't know what rose gold means. This is a bronze device, and even the colour brown describes its color better than rose gold.

I have one Asus Transformer TF101, was working fine, but recently turned really slow, just to turn on take more than 5 minutes, and take to long time to open apps, what can i do to fix this?
Other problem is, i cant sync it with my pc, now just request my use Asus Sync but never find my tablet, any other solution to fix this? Thanks
