I hope that in 2024 the ROG Phone 8 basic model will be given a Super AMOLED display because AMOLED 1B and Super AMOLED have no significant difference, it's better to go straight to Super AMOLED. Hope the size is reduced a bit to 6.5 and bring back the 19:5:9 aspect ratio because I love it. And the last thing apart from issues like overheating and software problems is the placement of the charging port hopefully in the middle like a smartphone in general.

However, be careful whether the model number is actually the international version if you want to avoid getting a lower-spec China-only model. Tencent branding is highly likely a CN version. Most users will never notice any difference, but if you want to update the OS manually, you need to have the matching software SDK (WW vs CN or TW) or you may run into problems.

At that level you're better off with a laptop that gives you a) a bigger picture to see details and documents; and b) a keyboard for typing. Unless you do all your work in a different coffee shop every day, or in a car somehow. Or just trolling.

I bought this phone and unboxed at the 8th of June 2023, she's a beauty, I daily drive it and the battery last me more than 1 day, but I usually charge it once in a 24 hour, and the fast charging is just crazy. (p.s I'm using 90hz refresh rate all the time).
Anyways, loved this baby, the camera is not terrible, suitable for a daily use, Iphone's camera is just too much for a daily use, it's like used for producing movies like what?
The price of S23 (not the ultra cuz look at the price bro like what) is just not reasonable whereas this has bigger battery, faster charging, wonderful front stereo speakers (sounds amazing), wonderful screen, and best of all, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
I can go on and on but to conclude this, this phone is my perfect preference.
The ROG 7 Ultimate is too much for me, imo this is more than enough, I'm also using the 256gb storage with 12gb ram version.
It is all up to ur preference, enjoy guys, thanks.

Anonymous, 03 Aug 2023anyone using rog phones in the past have issues with phone just dying(no boot) as well?I bought ROG Phone 7. It died after 4 days (won't boot, won't charge). The company replaced the phone. The second one lasted 3 days then died. I'm getting a refund instead of a replacement.

Just bought this phone after my ROG2 shut me down after 4 years of usage. Personally, using the ROG2 for 4 years didn't make me regret. I love that phone but it has gone to the grave. Then now a new ROG7 is born and the speed is awesome. Apparently I was choosing Iphone 14 Pro Max and ROG7 but after much thoughts, my heart still goes to ROG.

i know why rog 6 and 7 does not use any LTPO panel, outside of the cost , using LTPO panel will need 2 management from fps in game and the refresh rate of the screen. I'm using S22 ultra with ltpo 2.0 and there was 2 management software, one is gos which is already turned off and the other is auto manage performance mode, a VRR throttling software that throttle the refresh rate of the screen to save battery, using auto manage performance on throttling not only refresh rate of the screen but the in game fps which likely they trying to sync the fps and the refresh rate also touch sensitivity drop making a delay when playing..
