Abandoned model - last firmware on Asus site is from April 2023. Advice - do not buy Asus phones, they'll be quick forgotten by the producent.

I can tell that the Redmagic 8 pro last longer in terms of battery and performance. In terms of camera, the front camera of the 8 pro sucks TBH. If I were given an honest opinion. I would go for the 6D.
Been using it for a few weeks now and i gonna say that the performance are outstanding(12/256).But the battery seems to drain easily which is quite disappointing.
Between this and the red magic 8 pro which one is better? In my country their roughly same price and I plan to get a phone that will last me a couple of years and not change yearly. Any ideas? Which software is better and which will last longer over time?

Stay away from Asus Phones.
There are many issues that Asus had never fixed and will never do.
Extreme pricey phones but full of bugs (Wifi, mobile, gps, battery)
ROG Phone 5 measurements: https://www.hypethesonics.com/dapti-database?ASUS_ROG_Phone_5sHigh-Impedance_Mode
ROG Phone 6 measurements: https://www.hypethesonics.com/dapti-database?ASUS_ROG_Phone_6
TLDR; Gamers probably wouldn't worry as much, but for people that care about sound quality, the ROG phone 6 is a big step backwards. Reproduction accuracy is much worse than the ROG Phone 5.
Does this phone have the same mobo issues as the Rog Phone 5? I own the Phone 5 but will switch since the mobo has failed, I can't connect to wifi, tethering, and bluetooth it's ridiculous, only owned this phone for 3 months and all these issues surfaced.

I got the Xperia 1 iv but again it's just de Qualcom DAC inside. Rog 6 series ditched the ESS Sabre Quad DAC unfortunately, therefore the jack of Xperia and 6 and 6 pro should be quite similar. Today I'm receiving the Sennheiser HD 600 headphones, I'm nervous if Xperia will be able to drive them properly
I'm thinking which one will be the best to play, I like free fire, cod, diablo and games like that, but asus confuses with the rog 6 and the rog 6d, I don't know which one will have the best stability because I had the rog 3 and I had many problems with the software, at the end the rog 3 died.

Not only does the latter not support AptX HD apparently but it's also lower bandwidth from the jack (192kHz/16bit on ROG 6D Ultimate vs 384kHz/32bit max on ROG 6 Pro). Neither have dedicated ESS Sabre HiFi DACs like LG used to have, something that the ROG 5 had. Same issue with the Xperia 1-IV, it's a SoC DAC to my knowledge. Even the so called audiophile grade flagship phones aren't really that at all - they just have a generic 3.5mm jack without a dedicated DAC that's been tuned for audiophile listening. Anyway I'm still trying to decide between the ROG 6 Pro/6D Ultimate/Xperia 1-IV 16GB Gaming edition.

while mt6338 supports up to 24bit at 192khz. they still sound decent unless you are an audio enthusiast. the pros for the ess are the quad dac. while mediatek i am not sure about that.

Anonymous, 20 Sep 2022Can you explain pls?Yes. If you want to emulate other systems (especially the more resource-demanding ones such as the 3DS and the Switch), your best bet is to go for a flagship Snapdragon-powered device, because creators of emulators have thus far largely ignored the other chipsets. Of course none of this may be relevant to you; I was only making the observation for those to whom it pertains.
I read this has the MediaTek MT6338 DAC, does anyone know if this is better than the DAC on the ROG Phone 6 Pro and how does it compare to the ESS Sabre ES9280AC Pro Quad DAC?

Really want too see performance in mobile gaming
What games do people plan on playing on this phone?
Sin , 20 Sep 2022We don't know if the dimensity 9000+ will out perform the Snapdragon 8 gen 1+ or not
... moreBenchmarks are already out there (For the ROG 6 Pro vs 6D Ultimate) and the results are exactly as expected.
Dimensity 9000+ shreds the Snapdragon in multi-threaded tasks thanks to its core design and its memory cache and system level cache advantage. Clear advantage
Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1's Adreno 730 GPU is about 15% faster overall than its ARM Mali counterpart in the Dimenity 9000+ and therefore performs better at higher graphical settings.
Dimensity 9000+ is still more power efficient and doesn't throttle as hard as the 8+ Gen 1 in stress tests, granted the latter performs better

It's going too be a close fight they will most likely trade blows in different games either could possibly win
Am really looking forward too head too head benchmarks and gaming test loading times etc
Mediatek and Snapdragon processor look really evenly matched this time
ALIENHACKER, 19 Sep 2022The fact that it has Mediatek makes it look cheap and I don't like it Mediatek may seem cheap, but it isn't. The dimensity 9000+ actually outperforms Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in terms of performance and power efficiency.
