Asus introduced its ROG Phone 5 lineup including regular, Pro, and Ultimate last month and while they are yet to hit the market, one of the first countries that will see the gaming series is India.
Flipkat has now listed all variants, with the most affordable even up for pre-order, but withheld any information about the actual launch date.
The appearance in India marks the beginning of the global arrival for the ROG Phone 5 series. In this case, Flipkart is offering the ROG Phone 5 in Black with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage for INR49,999 ($666/€555), which is a lot cheaper than the initially announced price of €800.
If customers decide to go for the 12/256GB choice, it will cost them INR57,999 or $775/€645.
The Asus ROG Phone 5 Pro, available only in Black, costs INR69,999($935/€780) and brings 16/512GB memory to the scene, while the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate is INR79,999 ($1,065/€890) with its 18GB RAM and 512GB of storage.
Market competition. Oneplus, Xiaomi price their phones really competitively here. So Asus has to do it too.
Sad. Very sad. Singapore also opened pre-order but only for the normal black version. Checked with their online staff and they say no news of Ultimate, Pro, or even the normal Storm White version. Considering Singapore sells this phone at exorbitant ...
