People complaining about the price must not have seen the old model stainless was $750 with less features. Basically paying for the material alone, now they add bigger battery, titanium case, better GPS, more sport features for athletes, dive computer and double the brightness for 50 more bucks. I do believe they will finally upgrade the processor next year so that is the only reason this is not as good of a deal because it will be succeeded by a more efficient model. S6-S8 are essentially the same

Apple watch and iPads are the only two products where Apple completely crushes competitions. Although they don’t dare to give some of the simplest and most required features these two products have no worthy competitors.
N.B.: Entirely my personal opinion.
