Apple Smart wearables WatchOS Rumors

Apple Watch Series 9 to be 'basically unchanged' from the previous model

The Watch Series 9 will be the Watch Series 8 with a different chip at the helm, bringing performance and efficiency improvements to the smartwatch. A few months ago, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman claimed the Watch Series 9 would be powered by a new chip based on Apple's A15 SoC first used in the iPhone 13 models.

In addition to a new chip, the Apple Watch Series 9's aluminum version is rumored to get a new pink color, with the lineup coming in a retail box more compact than the Series 8 models.
