Apple Store online goes live in India, new Watches and 8th gen iPad now on sale
As promised, today Apple launched the Apple Store online in India, through which it will offer products and services directly to the customers for the first time. Until now, the Cupertino-based tech giant sold its products through Amazon.in, Flipkart, and authorized retail stores across the country.
With the Apple Store online, customers can not only buy products directly from Apple, but also receive customer support and get help in choosing the right products and setting up the new ones.
Here's what Apple Store online has on offer:
- Shopping Assistance from Apple Specialists who will help customers choose the right product and set them up.
- Customer support through call or chat.
- Helping customers tailor their Macs according to their needs.
- 1:1 free online session from Apple Specialists upon purchase of certain Apple products.
- Option to pay with a debit card, credit card EMI, net banking, credit card on delivery, UPI, and RuPay.
- Trade-in program for iPhone (here's the list of eligible devices).
- Free, contact-less delivery.
- Option to purchase AppleCare+, which extends the product warranty with up to two years of technical support and accidental damage cover.
Apple will provide all assistance in Hindi and English languages. And in October, customers will get photography and music-focused free online Today at Apple sessions, which will be led by the local Creative Pros.
Moreover, with the festive season approaching, customers will be offered gift wrap and custom engraving options on select products. iPads and Apple Pencils can be engraved with English text, while AirPods can be engraved with emoji or text in English, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. In related news, the iPad (8th gen), Watch Series 6, and Watch SE which were unveiled during Apple's Time Flies event last week are now available for purchase in India through Apple Store online. The new iPad Air will arrive next month.
