This development was discovered by 9to5Mac inside the iPadOS 17.5 beta source code and suggests that the squeeze gesture can be used to trigger quick actions including text fields, stickers, signatures, and adding shapes within Notes and other creative apps.

The new leak suggests that Apple may add a pressure sensor on the Apple Pencil 3’s surface. Apple Pencil 3 is also rumored to be compatible with the Apple Vision Pro and Apple Find My network. A previous leak also points to interchangeable magnetic tips.
Apple is expected to announce its new iPad Pro and Air models later this year with the Pro models getting OLED displays and the Apple M3 chip.
