Apple iOS Rumors

A report last year claimed that Apple is working on a new AI-powered Health+ service that can give suggestions based on the gathered health data and even suggest form correction during exercise via the iPhone camera. However, the latest rumor is that the company is scaling back those efforts.

Apple is reportedly scrapping its AI-powered Health+ service

A few months after Apple moved its Health and Fitness teams under the Services group, led by Eddy Cue, the company is giving up on its rumored Health+ service because Cue thinks Apple isn't competitive enough.

According to internal sources, Eddy Cue wanted Apple to move faster and be more competitive in the wellness sphere, but services like Oura, for example, have already saturated the space and offer a wide range of health-oriented features on iOS.

So instead of launching the Health+ service, Apple will gradually add the features it has already developed to its existing Health app. For instance, the capability to give recommendations based on user data will likely roll out this year, while an AI health chatbot will be able to answer wellness questions in the near future.

Oh, sure; competition should be the reason for scrapping an AI-powered service - never mind the fact that AI has led to bad, even dangerous, health advice, like killing yourself. ...That was SARCASM!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙄

Only for Apple who couldn't even get it right. Meanwhile, no name brands like Infinix and others already executed AI beautifully into their ecosystem.
