It's a shame that this is the last 32-bit device Apple has ever made. Ever since I was 4, I watched that commercial. It's so colorful. At iOS 10, most apps no longer support it anymore, but there's a few of it.

This was the last iPhone to run on a 32-bit OS, so a lot of apps will no longer work. I used to have this phone from like 2015-2018 iirc and it was pretty good at the time. There are a few games I played that don't work on 64-bit iOS updates like the Sonic racing games so if you ever installed those before they were delisted then you have some use at least.

Ignore the apple fanboys. "Sales numbers" don't effect how good/bad a phone is.
Except...
On account of the phone not selling as much as expected, a lot of these where cluttering up warehouses.
So, how does a multi hundred million dollar ISP company like AT&T/Sprint/etc do? Sell them cheap! REAL cheap!
As a result, a lot of children/teens of the era got this as their first phone. Ask many of them and they'll probably speak fondly of it! And for good reason!
The ONLY black mark this phone has is it's poor support from Apple (Only iOS 7-10 officially. No, kexec'ing into iOS 6 does NOT count.)
The phone is solid. REALLY solid! Probably "shrug a 10ft drop onto concrete" type tough. The phone's plastic cabinet feels great! It's also reliable. Unlike the iphone 6/6s, this phone doesn't chew through batteries, lift pads off the motherboard, have the camera vibrate, etc.
And it would of been nice and fast back in the day, basically being an iPhone 5 with some of the peripherals tweaked.
Plenty good phone. And as someone who didn't even grow up with it (only got one recently), it's underrated too!

In 2023, this phone is basically unusable except for calls and SMS because basically apps work on iOS 10, not even WhatsApp. The iPhone 5s is different because it runs iOS 12 and pretty much all the most important apps work. For some that don’t work, the web version can work even if it does not display everything properly. On iOS 10, not even the web versions work oftentimes.

Sign into your Apple ID on that device, purchase or "get" the apps you need. Then they will all be downloadable on your older 5c
