Apple iOS Android MWC 2023

As MWC came to a wrap this week, recipients of the GLOMO (Global Mobile Awards) include Apple, TCL, and Motorola. Every year, awards are issued across several different categories including Mobile Technologies, Digital Everything, Devices, Tech4Good, and Government Leadership. We’re looking at the recipients of this year’s awards in the “Device” category.

The award for “Best Smartphone” was issued to the Apple iPhone 14 Pro. Other entries considered for the award include the Google Pixel 7 Pro, Nothing Phone (1), Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4, and Galaxy Z Fold4.

Here’s what the site says about the award:

The Best Smartphone award combines outstanding performance, innovation and leadership as determined through assessment of smartphones on the market during the period January 2022 to December 2022, by world leading independent analysts, journalists, and influencers.

For the “Disruptive Device Innovation”, Apple wins again with its Emergency SOS via Satellite. Apple’s iPhone 14 launch event showed the world that Satellites could be used to communicate in cases of emergency without requiring any special hardware.

Soon after, T-Mobile announced its partnership with SpaceX to fill dead zones within the US that would be possible with old devices, and MediaTek announced that its future chipsets would support Satellite data connections. Other devices considered for the award include Google’s Tensor 2 chip, Qualcomm Snapdragon, and Sony’s IMX989 Camera Sensor.

On the topic of Satellite communication, this next award was also issued to a Satellite-related device. The “Best in Show” award goes to the Motorola Defy Satellite Link by Bullit. Powered by MediaTek silicon, the device uses Bluetooth to interface with a smartphone and can send SMS messages anywhere you have a clear view of the sky.

Other devices considered here include the Honor Magic Vs, Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, and the Oppo Find N2 Flip. In this category, “The award will be judged based on the best-of-the-best products on show and will be considered by a select group of judges physically at the show. The award will be presented directly at the stand of the winning organization and will take place separately to the main GLOMO award ceremony.”

Do note that there are many fake sd card sell named as "Samsung evo sd card" and sold in low low price, but it is not usable. I think it is a fake one, not original Samsung, I bought one before.
