Apple is expected to unveil new iPad Pro tablets at its May 7 event. The company hasn't divulged anything about its 2024 iPad Pro lineup, but we recently heard it would be powered by Apple's M4 chip. Now we learn the tech giant will use the best OLED tablet panels on the market for the upcoming iPad Pro.
The word comes from DSCC analyst Ross Young, who claimed the OLED panels on the upcoming iPad Pro tablets are "expected to be the best OLED tablet panels on the market."
Young further said these panels will come with "LTPO, 120Hz refresh, a tandem stack and glass thinning resulting in ultra-thin and light displays with high brightness, extended battery life and long lifetime.”
Apple's 2024 iPad Pro is rumored to come in 11.1" and 12.9" sizes with smaller bezels. Alongside the new tablets, Apple is said to introduce a new Apple Pencil on May 7 with squeeze detection and in-built haptic feedback.
I believe that it's a combination of a new material for the blue diodes and using dual-stack OLED displays. Using dual-stack OLED displays alone should only increase the lifespan by 100% (or increase the lifespan to 200%).
