Im currently using the ipad mini 4 and want an upgrade but my budget is tight so is this ipad still worth it? I use for movies, music and photo
/video editing on lightroom&capcut,sometimes gaming on low graphic

Bought one of those in 2019 - second hand.. Still flies and works like new, apart from the battery life. The sceen and the sound are amaizing, newer ones have brighter screens and more base, but i rather prefer this LCD screen and sound, very clear for voice. The sound output for headphones is really strong as well, provides a lot of power. It is criminal that Apple have made the battery replacement on those ipads so difficult and dangerous to perform, even phone shops refuse to make it.

The worst thing, newer ipads sound worse (what people wrote on the internet). So it's double as hard to make the switch. And I really don't want oled screen. Maybe I hold it out for 2027 when oled screens matured or something better arrived.

I've bought it in 2017 and still using it.
Battery life has decreased but it is still usable.

Well... my mind is blown. I was looking up my model to look into getting a new case and saw that the A1701 is a 2017 model. I can't beleive that I've been using this iPad for 7 years and the battery still holds a good charge and I can still play graphics-intensive games on it. Well done, Apple!

I still use the same 10.5 since 2017… until it collapses… but there’s not much difference with the tasks it does. I write efficiently and that’s enough..

Yami, 26 Oct 2024This thing came out in 2017, what did you expect?This, one of the best, I used it, lost it and now buy the same one. Battery big capacity 8000+ mAh RAM 4GB and other good spec. It lasts a day and a half for my biz and work. highly-recommended. Can't compare spect to 2024 models, but if you want something less than perfect, last long battery, can't perform anything, buy it!

my chromebook uses an LCD and has something known as light bleeding which seems to be your ipad's issue
