Do not let your iPad battery flat. Better to set alarm when it get 15% or less. If it's less than it, better to power off and charge until full.
I have mine around 10% and put it in charge, unfortunately, seems like I didn't insert it correctly due to thick case hence won't charge.
After that, my iPad suddenly restart and boot loop. iTunes recovery didn't help. Going to the service, advised to swap the NAND memory (around US$90 of total service charge). Apparently the NAND is corrupted (my device is less than 2yrs with casual usages).
It's now in repair queue with a risk of totally dead.
Apparently this issue applicable to iPad and iPhone, sadly.

Newer form factor.
Better battery life.
Longer software support.
USB-C port.
Unless headset jack, home button, and lightning port (older tech) matters to you,
Then get the iPad 9 (2021)

14 years old here, been using it for my school and other heavy tasks. Can play heavy games at 50 fps to 60. I played CodM with it. It has medium graphics with 60 fps. Such a cool budget iPad. 👍

i own this ipad and the problem is battery but the rest is all good as its very smooth running iOs 18.1 sadly no Apple Intelligence but it runs mostly games very well but dont get 64GB Ver if u can get the 256GB Bc the iOs 18's updates are taking a lot of space

I have mine, its serves its purpose, the camera performs well with well lit area, its performance is great but sometimes it lags badly if too much apps are running on the background and it gets glitchy too when the device is getting hot, battery last long and also charges fast too, I only got mine around $250,for me i'd say its a best buy, I use it on my school and commissions.
