Earlier today the vivo V19 went official in Indonesia, but now we are seeing the same name on vivo Malaysia’s Twitter. Not it's easy to suspect this is just a teaser for the launch of the same phone in a different market, but it's not how vivo goes about things. The teaser shows two cameras, clearly hinting at a dual selfie snapper. The new phone will “change the way you see the night” and will arrive soon.

The dual selfie cameras indicate that the Malaysian V19 will actually take after the vivo V17 Pro rather than any of the regular V17 versions.

vivo is certainly turning this lineup into a confusing mess, but here's an attempt to clear things up a bit. The new phone, let’s call it vivo V19 Malaysia, will be different from the vivo V19 Indonesia. The vivo V19 Indonesia is actually the same phone as the vivo V17 India with its L-shaped camera.

Then there's the other vivo V17 with a rhombus-shaped camera setup that can be seen in Russia. It is called vivo S1 Pro in the Philippines and some other countries, but vivo Y9s at the domestic scene, since we already have a vivo S1 Pro in China which is the local version of the vivo V15 Pro. We would love to draw an infographic explaining all the differences, but it would be better if vivo just had some consistency in its naming policy.

I feel pity to those buying these Vivo V series. Not only you are confused with which version you’ll get, you won’t even get OS upgrades. And you’re paying a premium for it. Although it’s from the same parent company, Realme imo is the better va...
