Everything is good but the battery. this phone can run p... moreI had this phone for about 4 years but Im finally gonna move on because the battery is getting very depleted. I didnt have any major problems with the phone, only minor ones. The worst thing about the phone is that it got stuck on android 7.1 and never updated and the phone hasnt had any security updates in years. Overall I was quite happy with the phone. The sound quality could have been better but again thats a minor thing. Sometimes it would randomly reset but it wasnt that often. I wish Alcatel had kept this line going.

people are saying this phone is bad. Everything is good but the battery. this phone can run pretty powerful games and great speaker also wonderful camera pictures its way better then my moto e5 play and charges pretty fast so the batter being bad is so bad. Well this is my opening

This phone is crap.
The UI malfunctions constantly causing the device to do whatever it wants.
Very dangerous could really screw things up for anyone who uses it.
Terrible battery life.
Weak speakers.
Many other things that don't function properly on this phone don't have time to post everything.
Don't get it, that's my recommendation.

This phone is probably marketed to people who would prefer a slightly smaller, lighter phone, reasonably quick, decent camera, very good speakers, starts out at least with up-to-date software (although Alcatel don't have a stellar record with updates, last year's 4s still being on Marshmallow). Still, people wouldn't buy it for that, nor for heavy gaming. I think it's roughly competitive with the Moto G line, but much more nicely finished. Personally, I would prefer this to the ZTE Axon 7 mini or the Nokia 6, which are in the same general price range.

But the Snapdragon 625 consumes less battery than Snapdragon 652, of course the Snapdragon 652 is more powerful than 625. The low resolution display of Idol 5S saves even more battery, so if you want more battery life 5S is better. According to rumors the Idol 5S would be also cheaper than 4S.

Snapdragon 625 for an Idol 5 series??? Are they serious? An SD 660 would have been the way to go.

AnonD-575146, 26 Mar 2017will there be the version of Windows againMost probably but as with the last version the new Windows version would also have better specifications than the Android version, there are rumours that Microsoft is switching to a 64-bit release on Windows 10 Mobile, the 64-bit version would support more than 4 GB RAM, so most probably the Idol 5S Windows would be released with the 64-bit release and would have 6 GB or 8 GB RAM with Snapdragon 835 processor on board.

What a tiny battery capacity among other specs... no way is this phone worth $280. The zte blade v8 pro and honor 6x both have better specs and more features for less money

The refresh rates of the screen ar... moreThese are all unofficial speculations, while the Qhd display is probably correct, as they would not likely downgrade something as big as screen resolution and 4K probably isn't coming soon, things like the chipset are probably more up for debate as there are many more choices to be made.
