Anonymous, 03 Jun 2023i'd rather stay as far away from Linux as possibleUnfortunately, Linux won't be going away despite not being as popular as Windows or macOS. Even Microsoft use Linux to run their Azure cloud servers.
Driftking60, 20 Apr 2022I run ChromeOS on my Lenovo Duet Chromebook. I think it's very good as a tablet OS. Acces... moreThe same for me. Since Google won't ever develop a convergence mode between Android and ChromeOS, I'd be more than happy to own a ChromeOS tablet because of GNU Linux support. That is something Google won't ever give to Android.
I run ChromeOS on my Lenovo Duet Chromebook. I think it's very good as a tablet OS. Access to the google play store and the ability to run Linux apps is very nice. ChromeOS also gets a lot longer support than an Android tablet. I wish to see more tablets running ChromeOS.
With a 4:3 screen, this can easily be a worthy device for iPad users who want to try out Chrome OS. I just hope that Acer can update this device with the latest Mediatek Kompanio or Qualcomm Snapdragon PC chipset and give a QWERTY keyboard option while selling it for not more than $400.

I agree Acer should do a follow up with a better processor. The OP1/RK3399 is definitely holding this thing back. Other than the Galaxy S line, this is the only way to get Android married to Wacom EMR pen in a tablet form factor. I don't mind the Chrome OS part as long as I have access to Android apps.
If you stuck in some A75 based hexacore in similar form factor for under $400, it would be a winner.
